   The film starts at eight o'clock.

   Clock times take at: at eight o'clock, at midnight, at half past two.

2. 02

   I don't like driving at night.

   at night, at midday, at lunchtime, but in the morning.

3. 03

   We usually go to the market at the weekend.

   British English says at the weekend; American English says on the weekend.

4. 04

   The children open their presents on Christmas Day.

   on + a named day: on Christmas Day, on my birthday, but at Christmas.

5. 05

   There's no school on 2 May because it's a bank holiday.

   Dates take on: on 2 May, on 31 December, but in May, in December.
